We meet once per week to enjoy the movement within the rhythm, music, togetherness and Jazz dance. Mondays are our dance days.
Beginners group starts the dance season on January 9. Classes are on Mondays @ 18.30 – 19.30.
During the class we will develop and work on dance technique, learn choreography, stretch and train strength. Dance style – Jazz dance.
Jazz dance is as experimental, free form and fluid as jazz, the music. It’s fusion, it’s inventive, it’s exuberant. And, like the music, jazz dance is a uniquely American art form with influences from everywhere. Within the class we will mostly dance lyrical jazz although we will also touch upon Broadway jazz, authentic jazz, contemporary jazz. Jazz dance always tells some kind of story. In our classes we will dance stories that are connected to our identity and relationships with God.
Take comfortable sport/ dance clothes with you.
The classes take place in Gertrūdes 8 (The basement hall of St.Gertrude Old Church).
Participation fee: 40 EUR per month or 15 EUR per class
